Prof. Stefan
Kruckenhauser is best known as "the pope of Austrian skiing."
For decades he directed the Bundsheim in St. Christoph, Austria's national
academy for ski teachers and mountain guides. But his first love was photography.
This small collection features skiers in the Arlberg, including portraits
of St. Anton's pioneering ski teacher Hannes Schneider.
The International Skiing History Association is a not-for-profit corporation, whose mission is to preserve and advance the knowledge of ski history and to increase public awareness of the sport's heritage.
